Clinical trial cuts radiation time dramatically
When Jeff Koehn was diagnosed with throat cancer, his doctors recommended treatment to include surgery and a clinical trial for radiation. It reduced his radiation therapy time from the usual six weeks to 10 days.
Our Spotlight Programs
Centers
Sanford Research is home to four research centers. Each multidisciplinary center is defined by complementary scientific and technical expertise along with supporting resources to advance a thematic research goal. Thematic goals encompass: studying of complex behaviors and biological factors, improving the health of patients and communities using unique data-driven techniques, translating basic discoveries into clinical trials for humans, and enhancing children’s health research.
