Primary Research Focus

Forester Lab uses cognitive, behavioral and neuroscientific techniques to investigate eating disorders.

Their research focuses on asking how fundamental mental processes influence real-world eating disorder behaviors. Among these mental processes are:

  • The anticipation or experience of reward
  • The recollection of a memory
  • A momentary fluctuation in emotion

Their goal is to bridge the gap between controlled measurements in the lab and naturalistic measurements in daily life.
